He chases away the evil squirrel
He protects us from the monkey mobs
Sheru is my neighbour's pet Doberman
Loyalty and Kindness are his main jobs
Separated from his brothers upon birth
We pitifully waited till his misery stops
Luckily, he soon found a new family in us
Began to eat, play and learn his chops
He let me pamper once and soon became
The friendliest dog to me- a cynophobe
Whenever sees me or hears my voice
With pointed ears, rushes to me and hops
My friend lets him loose on the terrace
Since he litters the house with his dirty paws
From terrace he searches for a familiar face
Wags his short tail and drops his jaws
His eyes follow the kites up above
Bares his teeth when a pidgeon drops
He often mimics a manoeuvre from TV
But rarely succeeds in those flip flops
He adores the two young boys of the house
True obedience around them one can spot
And though he always carries a goofy face
His vibes of unconditional love never stop
